This beautiful and very rare contempary hand coloured map 'Nova Orbis Terraquei Tabula Accuratissime Delineata' by Pieter van der Aa from the atlas 'Le Nouveau Theatre' which was published in Leiden in 1713, is a detailed and charming of the the World and Polar region, which employs Cassini's significant north polar projection from 1696.
